David L. Williams, DO, FACOG, FACS

Dr David WilliamsDr. Williams has extended training in Urogynecology, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. He is a leader in the use of midurethral slings for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence having been among the first in the nation trained in the TVT operation in 1998. Dr. Wiliams has a special interest in the surgical repair of Pelvic Organ Prolapse and is one of the most experienced da Vinci robotic surgeons in Central Pennsylvania. He is skilled at combining multiple surgical techniques to correct pelvic floor disorders. He is board certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics& Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologist. In 2010, Dr. Williams was honored to become a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Urogynecology Society, the American College of Surgeons, the AAGL and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.

Dr. Williams is the Director of our American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine accredited Ultrasound program. Dr. Williams is a 1993 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In 1997, he completed a residency in Obstetrics& Gynecology at Tripler Army Medical Center located in Honolulu Hawaii. Dr. Williams spent the next three years acquiring additional training in Urogynecolgy and Pelvic Surgery. In 1999, Dr. Williams authored award winning original research and presented his work at the annual meeting of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist. Dr. Williams has held many esteemed posts, including the Chief of Gynecology at Tripler Army Medical Center and the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. Dr. Williams is honored to care for the women of Central Pennsylvania.

Dina L. Schweitzer, MD, FACOG

Dina L. Schweitzer, MD, FACO Dr. Schweitzer has over 10 years of experience in Urogynecology and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.  Her surgical practice is focused on treating urinary incontinence and disorders of the female pelvis such as prolapse, heavy uterine bleeding and fibroids.   Dr. Schweitzer is passionate about helping women regain urinary continence so that they can resume full and productive lives.  She was one of the first female surgeons in Central Pennsylvania trained in da Vinci Robotic surgery and continues to be a leader in da Vinci  Robotic Surgery.  She also is a proponent of minimally invasive alternatives to hysterectomy such as the Novasure endometrial ablation system.  Dr. Schweitzer received her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda Maryland and served her country as a surgeon in the US Army until 2004.  She had a distinguished military career, including a tour in Iraq, for which she was awarded the bronze star.    Dr. SchwietzerDr. Schweitzer is passionate about helping women with pelvic floor disorders return to
normal activity and function. She enjoys all segments of Urogynecology but has a
special interest in urinary incontinence and painful bladder conditions. She has
extensive experience in the surgical correction of Stress Urinary Incontinence and
Pelvic Organ Prolapse. In addition, she is a leader in the use of Botox and Sacral
Neuromodulation for the treatment of Overactive Bladder, Urinary Retention and Fecal
Incontinence.

Dr. Schweitzer received her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of
Health Sciences in Bethesda Maryland and served her country as a surgeon in the US
Army until 2004. She had a distinguished military career including a tour in Iraq for
which she was awarded the bronze star.

 

Stan Beachy, MD, FACOG - (Retired)

Dr. Stan BeachyDr. Stan Beachy has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology in Carlisle for over thirty-three years.  After growing up in Western Pennsylvania and Maryland, he graduated from college in the mid-west and from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore.  Knowing that he wanted to practice in a smaller community hospital, he did his internship and residency in a community hospital in York, Pennsylvania.  In 1977, he joined his brother in practice in Carlisle, forming Beachy Associates and later Carlisle Women’s Care with several other physicians.  Dr. Beachy joined Women’s Health Specialists in 2007.  Although Dr. Beachy no longer does obstetrics or performs surgery, he introduced Minimally Invasive Surgery in Carlisle, and performed the first laparoscopic hysterectomies done at Carlisle Hospital.  His practice currently involves Ambulatory Gynecology, with an emphasis on management of peri-and post-menopausal issues.
